So sorry I haven't posted or even followed up on the Africa trip! I doubt many are reading this dead page anymore, but yes I am back! It's been quite a busy time back in the states... God was good and used that trip a lot to grow me . But I was not sad to leave. It was time. I saw and experienced missions in a hard way... I guess in a real way.

Now back home I'm doing a lot with Teens for Orphans, working with a friend, thinking about the future, etc. But definitely keeping very busy. I hope to start college next year and take some CLEPs this year.

I am so glad and blessed to be here. It is a wonderful place, especially on the Ekitangala Ranch... people are extremely friendly to the 'Moozoogoos'.

I was blessed with a nice house to stay in a great food which I am really thankful for as I serve the Lord in this country that he loves.

I've had the opportunity to visit many schools and meet many people... hopefully I can build some strong relationships with these people, they are all beautiful and friendly.

I've also been working hard on some various projects that are cool and help the community very much. I dug a trench last week for a gas pipe to run from their bio-gas system, and this week I cut steel to make a frame for a solar-powered water heater. I don't know if it gets any cooler that that... I mean that's sweet.

So an update!

The Uganda trip is just around the corner! I still need a lot of money and prayers, but I know God will come through. He always has! So far He's blessed me with around $1,875 which is near half of what I need!

Also- a lot of my friends are planning on going to Tennessee for Teenpact NC! I won't be going, but my heart is with them as I make some promo and posters for Abi!!

So I've discovered this really important factor for the Christian. Its not new or anything, but it's just been really clear to me recently. It's the power of community, (or cliques). If we are going to be a generation that changes the world, we need to be unified! So we need to find churches, youth groups, organizations, etc. that are doing things that we are passionate about... and then jump on board with 110%.

1. Find a ministry that you are passionate about.

2. Donate a bunch of dollars if that's what they're about.

3. Find out what else you can do.

4. Contact them. And let them know who you are, what you can do, and that you're going to give 110%!

I don't care THAT much what you are passionate about, but I do want you to be giving 110%! So here are some organizations that may suit your passionate... you don't have to get cliqued with one of these organizations, but you do have to GET CLIQUED either way...

So immediately when i ask you... What do good christians listen to? What comes to your mind? Many of you will probably think hymns! Thats what i would think, because that's what the general opinion is and has been in conservative circles.

Now immediately when I ask you, what is bad music? Many of you will think rap, metal, or scream-o. Because, well, most of it is bad, and that's what the general opinion is in conservative circles, even though there is plenty of good Christian rap, etc. in our day and age.

But this is where we come to a problem. Why in conservative circles are hymns considered the most spiritual, and why do we encounter negativeness towards rap, etc.?

Well, my next post will be 'Hymns vs. Christian Rap'. And I will lay out some lyrics from both sides. Then the poll will begin, and we will officially lay this thing down! But hopefully when we are done and by setting aside our misconceptions, baggage, and 'hostility,' we can have and open mind for any music that glorifies God!

Ever noticed our Christian traditions and rules that automatically 'make us good Christians'? They make us appear to be pursuing God, but many times they're just man-made ways to be 'Christian'.

Here's some Spiritual things we Americans do:

We go to church and youth group.

We read our Bibles.

We don't listen to secular music.

We pray before our meals.

We give 10%.

We don't drink.

We don't cuss.

Some of these rules and traditions are very good! But this is not what being a Christian is!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, things are kinda crazy over here...

Yesterday we got to put on a little program for a middle school, and that was a bunch of fun! Nathan, our drummer bailed!! So I attempted to play in his stead (without practicing the songs beforehand)... and it wasn't bad. We also played dodge ball with giant marshmallows, and my brother got a nice shot on me. :(
Haha, we also had a fog machine that we flipped on when we did an acoustic Christmas set. Guess whos idea that was? Haha, it was so much fun with the kids!

Ecuador 2010

Thank you Hayden, Lexi, and Caroline, for posting on my blog!! You guys are amazing!

Man, the trip to Ecuador was crazy!!

After spending two days in the capitol gathering people and supplies, we loaded up the 40 foot canoe with all our baggage, medical/dental equipment, and ourselves. (Unfortunately, on the eight hour trip down the river, I sat next to two ladies who didn't give me much room... I had half a cheek on the miniature bench. That hurts.) After a long ride down we stopped at a community in the jungle. The highlights of that community was playing 3-man-volleyball with some of the guys in the community, going hunting with Pedro, gathering euka (a root we ate with every meal), and spending time with the kids in our class that Nathan and I put on with Sandro. Number of bites on my left leg at this time: 133.

Then we traveled up river to our second village. The highlights of this community was... playing soccer with a bunch of guys there, and that 3-liter of Coke. Number of bites on my left leg at this time: 160.

Back up there river to our third community, the highlights there were: the house we were staying in, and fishing. Number of bites on my left leg at this time: Unknown.

Back up the river to our forth community. The highlights there were: playing with the kids and teaching them games, driving a stick-shift truck and a motorcycle, finding the lack of a table and then going out into the jungle to cut down a tree to make one, and pancakes. Number of bites on my left leg at this time: 270.

Worst part about the trip:

Choking down the grubs. I tried eat one to show appreciation and love to the people there, but unfortunately I gagged like four times and then threw it up. But at least I gave it my best shot, right? After thinking about it a bit, I figured that it wasn't my best shot, because my best would be having another one. And so, by God's grace, I choked down another one.... that stayed down.

Since you probably have some questions for me, I'll try and answer them in the next post!

Make Them Remember...

Hey Ya'll, this is Caroline and Kade has asked me, along with some others, to post on his blog while he's in Ecudaor...that's really funny to me because until about 3 weeks ago, i hadn't posted on my own blog for 6 months...oh well...

Anyway, this is verse from Isaiah that i read recently and thought was really appropriate to missions and what kade and nathan are up to...

Isaiah 12:4-5

   And in that day you will say,
         "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name
         Make known His deeds among the peoples;
         Make them remember that His name is exalted."    Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things;
         Let this be known throughout the earth.

Anyway, i think it's awesome how it says, "Make them remember..." because it says "make"...like everything we do will "make" them look to God and know that "He has done excellent things"! We, as Christian's, should be living our lives in a way that makes it obvious we are different from the rest of the world...so in all we do, we should "make His deeds known among the peoples"!!

Anyway, not 100% sure if i tied all my thoughts together there....but in closing, i'd just like to encourage you guys to continue praying for kade and nathan and all the others that are on the trip with them. They're doing amazing things for the Lord!!

Man, I am so excited about our trip!! Yesterday, we finished up a lot of what I needed to accomplish. Including getting 3 shots.

So... I've been busy!! (isn't everybody?) And it's definitely time for another post.

Well, for those of you who didn't remember...

I'm leaving for Ecuador on Thursday!!
Na- na- na- dda- dda! And I. am. stoked! And yes, of course I will be posting pictures!

But I'm really treasuring this time that I have... to learn juggling!! Na- na- na! And Spanish! And dentistry!!

Golly, I'm seriously dancing while typing this post, I'm so excited.

I prayed for Ecuador today and yesterday through Operation World!! And it was amazing!!

btw. Nathan's foot is doing much better, due to some amazing work that God decided to do with or without our prayers.

So at my friend's part we made tie-dye shirts, which was fun, because I've never had a tie-dye shirt before. I did my shirt a bit different, and it was looking pretty bad at first, but after some work with a Sharpe, it looks pretty cool!

It reads: "WE UNASHAMED". Based on Lecrae's song "Unashamed".

I'm pretty excited about this BAD BOY my Dad got me!!! Operation World!! You can pray for the whole world with details of population, geography, religion, etc. So I'm going to start praying for a people every day. Today I prayed for the Caribbean.

So some of you wanted an update on my trip to Ecuador!! Although, I don't have much to say...

We're leaving on the 4th of next month, and it's a two-week trip involving lots of travel on plane, car, and canoe! It's a medical/dental trip, and Ill be helping out the guys doing it. I'm really excited to be visiting Christians and unbelievers alike in a different culture, and hyped that God allows this piece of trash to show His glory. I can only pray that He would USE. ME. UP. I'm supposed find out details very soon, but thanks so much for showing interest in my goings-on!! I appreciate it!

And guess what!?! I scored!!! It was actually my first goal of the season... but... eah... I still scored!! I was playing center defense and the ball had a slight roll coming to me, and there was a bit of wind behind me, and so, at about half-field, I had at it. The ball when into the top left corner (which was just ~~luck~~ grace) and I was pumped!!

We won our last game 4 to 3, although we only had to tie to win. And... our only female player scored one of our points! (And of course, Kole scored the other 2).

Every Christian should be a rebel unto averageness because of the knowledge we have and a motivation like no other in Christ Jesus. So why are we sucked into the mediocrity of living like Christians only on Sunday? Is that why Christ died? For us to live our Sundays as Christians?

Haha, so yesterday, we went to this ropes course to climb, and it was pretty fun!!

So one question was:
What happened to Life Savior? -Rachel
"Life Savior" was an old blog I used to post on with a few friends. Well, it's kinda obvious what happened about to it Rachel! The other dudes stopped posting; I didn't. So, I started this blog. I haven't posted on "Life Savior" since, because there's no one who gets on there, and most bloggers who used to follow me on that blog, now follow me here.

So tonight we went out shopping, and (big brother) Kole told Kwinn and I to go get some Jimmy Dean sausage. We did.

Haha, it was great when we came back with our arms piled with packages. We were just messing with him...

Man, it was actually cold today!!! And it was terrific! I even got to wear the hoody Nathan gave me!

We had a great game! We lost, but we all played very well.

I played most of the game at defense and had a bunch of fun! And Kole (far left) actually scored 4, which is totally tight! Kyler (left) did a stellar job, and was very aggressive. And Kwinny-Pooh (right) had a few assists with Kole. I was thrilled to be playing! It felt really weird standing on the field as a player though... I haven't done that in a long time.

I must say, one of my favorite parts in playing, is just being a team, pursuing one thing. And it's great when we all circle up and yell SPARTANS! at the tops of our manly, gruff voices.

So today was the Spartans' first soccer game! It was pretty awesome!

And how did this happen? Last night we were playing ultimate frisbee after "the Blazing Center" study, and well... it was dark and I wasn't paying attention too much. And my friend threw me a pass... which I fumbled to try and get, and then dove out for it! And didn't see the concrete. Thankfully, I landed on the grass and then rolled onto the concrete. I rolled on the concrete 8 feet. Eight feet! And I only ended up with a cut arm. So, what happened to the foot then? After the 8 feet of rolling, I slammed into a parked car.

Yeah, you should have seen the car... :)

Last night I wasn't really on my game anyways... I accidentally took someone else's cup of soda and drank it right in front of them. And later I walked into a wall. A wall. All I can say is God was amazing and didn't let me get hurt too bad! 'Cause I really should have been hurt worse.

btw. We lost the soccer game. We were up by 1 at half, but afterwards... well, we lost. :)

Lord willing, I'm going to Ecuador in November!!!!!! We're going to an Indain tribe really far out. And it's a good canoe trip to get there. I'm totally pumped! And I also want to see if I can do some dentistry.

To possibly be able to show these people the love of Christ is a task I am totally unworthy of, but that is my calling, and Christ has allowed me to be His ambassador!

Just as a shout out to Nathan, I love you man, you encourage me in Lord pretty much everyday, 'cause we call eachother everyday and talk about what we learned in His word. I also have to admit to all of you... most of the time when Nathan and I face off; he wins. Racing, soccer, nerf wars, etc. (Although paintballing and airsofting we are about the same). So today, we went off-road biking, and it was completely awesome!!! I didn't even know this track existed! I was so much fun, although... I'm not the best biker in the world... I fell at least 4 times, got like 7 (small) cuts, and all on training wheels! But it was still so much fun!

That was one of the spills caught on cam. It was after a jump thing, and I just ran off the track.

Now this, this was something outta this world! There was this vine-thing on the side of the track, and so I decided to head straight for it... and I grabbed on, and swung off. It was 'narly!

btw. I was just kidding about the training wheels part. :) I got off those things a long time ago! At least six weeks...

Okay, so I lied. I'm not going to post the video until Monday, 'cause there's probably not many people online during the weekend. If you are on.... then give me a hard time.

So last night, my little brothers had one of their friends over, and we played Desert Storm II which was pretty fun... I don't play video games much, so whenever we're with friends, that's the time to live it up! So I was playing a level that I had already done like 3 times, so I decided to go ninja-style and use only my knife. And it was awesome! I got 9 kills and 0 deaths. And once, I snuck around the side, came up to the barricades and knifed 'em from behind.

And of course, being the older brother, I had to chuck a few grenades at the other boys. I was pretty funny when I took Kwinn out. They were about to kick me off!

Kade (imagining her trying to do some Algebra when I have to help her add to five): "Yea"

Clarity (with a smile): "We have the most school".

*pause*

Kade (turning my head away): "Yeah..."

So I made dinner tonight:

And afterward Kwinn ignores his chore of cleaning up dinner, and sits down to play Super Smash Bros. with Kyler and Seth.

Kade (leaning over and seeing the counter top): "Kwinn, you need to clean up dinner."

Kwinn: "What? That's your mess."

*long pause*

Kade: "Unless you want me to go outside, dig a bit pit, throw you in it and cover it back up, you need to go clean up dinner."

Dad and Mom come home from their "day vacation" and they come to the top of the stairs as I say hello.

Dad: "Kade, can you stop writing on your wrist?"

Kade: (looking down at my new tat)

"Yeah..."
